The Majestic G 麟角樂團

Phoenix feathers and Qilin's Horn

The Majestic G is an original funk/soul/experimental music group, their members are all active music veterans in Hong Kong, spanning across a wide music spectrum including pop, jazz, soul, funk, rock, classical music, and traditional Chinese music.

In 2017, TMG created a performance along with singer-songwriter Adrian Fu and writer Kit-wai Lau for Freespace Happening. Six brand new songs and a mesmerizing story "Enchanted Rouge" were created specifically for the performance. Since then, Kit has joined TMG and became their writer member.

We are all connected by a universal vibration of life, and that vibe, is the source of our creativity. We strive to make music that pushes the boundaries, connects the dots and reflects our changing times.

Odd Beholder

Odd Beholder was founded in a bomb shelter in Dietikon. The duo develops their music from miniatures. Their debut EP "Lighting" features choir arrangements that range over three octaves and eerie field recordings. Daniela Weinmann wrote her songs in the flat of the artist Curdin Tones in Amsterdam. The final recording sessions took place in Berlin. Their live sound is characterized by minimalistic drum programming and analogue synth sounds. The video for their single "Landscape Escape" was shot by the Berlin film maker Grambow + Kirchknopf in collaboration with the Azerbaijan Social & Modern Dance Association. Odd Beholder were signed by Mouthwatering Records in 2016. The artist duo Taiyo Oronato and Nico Krebs contributed the artwork for the EP. Their debut was released on May 13th. In spring 2017, the band released its second EP «Atlas» that took up the cool and minimalistic electronica of the first EP «Lighting».

RizzoKnor

Georg Bleikolm: Drums, live electronics
Daniel Rizzo: Bass, live electronics
Dominique Rizzo: Guitar, live electronics

Formerly known as ‘The Grateful Dead of Disco’, RizzoKnor, seamlessly cross-breeds techno, rock’n’roll and psychedelic influences into an almost ritualistic show. Audiences close their eyes in trance and dance like there is no tomorrow.

10 years ago they discovered an untouched path at the intersection of electronic and psychedelic spheres.

Like modern alchemists, Daniel, Dominique and Georg have cemented their unique brand of krauttechno over years of live experiments. Composition is seamlessly mixed with improvisation, repetitive riffs are entangled to modulating melodies that build towards epic musical gestures. Each performance transports the audience on a new trip towards the same destination: frenetic dancing.

Rizzoknor's sound is largely inspired by heroes from the past (Grateful Deads, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, J.J.Cale and Johnny Cash) and was matured in an effervescent contemporary scene of electronic musicians between Zurich and Berlin.

Sharing stage with references in live electronic music (Acid Pauli, Stimming, Kalabrese, Oliver Koletzki, Bonaparte, Ricardo Villalobos...), these guys ride the underground and help to define the spirit of the most praised venues and festivals in central Europe.
